What to do, what to see in Finistere...
Situaded on the extreme west side of the Peninsula, our gites are situated on large cliff topped beaches
with fishing ports and ports to go sailing.
Marked rambling path tracks available directly from the gites will take you to
patrimoniale historical sites, adorable chapels, pentys and proud manors.
The beaches will give you access to a number of leisure activities :
surf, kitesurf, windsurfing and windsailing, or foot fishing and surfcasting too.
You are able to kite flying and beach volley…
Rambling and horse-riding are available at La Pointe de la Torche which will exhilerate you!
There are fishing boats escorted by the seagulls, to entice your taste buds.
To sample the langoustines, spider crabs, guernite, within that’s freshy fished frequently!
There are a number of sea sport activities in the nautical clubs or schools along the coast. There’s a choice of sailing, surfing, wind sailing, speed sailing, kitesurf, canoeing, diving…
Try fishing on the edge of a quai, on the beach, on the rocks or in a boat. You can shell fish on foot or fishing at the edge of the sea or by the river.
Visits & randonnes
Let yourself go with cycle rides in the countryside. Discover a number of adorable chapels tucked away in the greeney like St Evy, Lanvern, Languivoa or Languidou. Discover the moor land such « Notre Dame de Tronoën », dominating the sea like the « La Chapelle de la Joie » or « Notre Dame de Penhors », the stone crosses (calvaires), fountains, and other religions architectural heritages will interest you.

The lighthouse of Eckmühl at Penmarc’h
Climb the 300 steps of the lighthouse where you are able to see a panoramic view from the « Pointe du Raz » to the « Pointe de La Torche ».
Visit of a number of museums
Cider, fishing, prehistoric, art, porcelaine and potery museums…
Enjoy tasting the pancakes, galettes (traditional breton cakes) with a bowl of cider or apple juice.

Enjoy tasting the delicious kouign-amann of Douarnenez.

Stock up on your provisions at a number of local markets. Take a trip each day at 4 o’clock to understand better the local maritime life by fishing boat.
